Volunteers are the backbone of Partners In Mission Food Bank; playing a vital role in ensuring our day-to-day operations run smoothly. From sorting and packing food to assisting clients and organizing donations, their time and dedication make it possible to serve our community. Without the ongoing support of our volunteers we simply couldn’t function.

Why Volunteer?

Partners in Mission Food Bank could not exist without the loyalty, dedication, and support of our volunteers, some of whom have been with us for more than 20 years. Their long-standing commitment is a true testament to the strength and compassion of our community.

Volunteers donate their time and skills to make a meaningful difference in addressing hunger and food insecurity in Kingston and Loyalist Township. Together, they play a vital role in meeting the needs of neighbours and strengthening our community.

Volunteer roles include a variety of hands-on and client-support activities, such as:

  • Building hampers for individuals and families in need
  • Assisting shoppers within the food program
  • Sorting and organizing donated food
  • Breaking down and preparing food items for distribution
  • Supporting Charity Bingo events
  • Assisting with the Tax Clinic
  • Driving our care van (when applicable)

These roles help ensure that our services run smoothly and that clients receive the support they need in a welcoming environment.
