Happy Volunteer Appreciation Week!
Volunteer Canada's theme for this year’s celebration is ‘Volunteering is Empathy in Action.’ There is a strong connection between volunteerism and empathy. This connection is at the heart of healthier individuals, and stronger communities. It helps us relate to others and build knowledge of different experiences – including the experiences of those struggling with putting food on their tables.
